Frequently Ask Questions

How do I start the adoption process?

Start by completing the adoption application. Upon approval, assistance will be provided to find the ideal pet and arrange a meet-and-greet.

What are the adoption fees, and what do they cover?

Adoption fees vary by pet type and cover essential veterinary services, including vaccinations and spay/neuter procedures.

Can I meet a pet before adopting?

After the application is approved, a one-on-one visitation will be scheduled to allow interaction with the pet before making a final decision.

What if the pet I’m interested in is not available?

Specify which animal(s) are of interest. If the pet is not immediately available, a name and contact information can be added to a waitlist.

What should I bring when picking up my new pet?

To ensure a safe transition:

  • Dogs: Must go home with a collar and leash.

  • Cats: Must be transported in a secure carrier. Please bring these items with you on adoption day.

Can I return a pet if the adoption doesn’t work out?

Adoptions may not always be the right match. If necessary, contact as soon as possible to explore available options.

Can I adopt if I have other pets at home?

Gradual introductions are recommended. For dog adoptions, a meet-and-greet with current pets may be required to ensure compatibility.

Are there any adoption requirements?

Adopters must be at least 21 years old and meet any specific requirements for the pet.

How long does the adoption process take?

The process duration depends on application approval, pet availability, and scheduling. Efforts are made to complete adoptions promptly and efficiently.
